MOORE – On 20th January 2023. CLAUDIUS age 64, of Valerie, Collymore Rock, St. Michael. Son of Claude Moore and Augustine Pacquette. Husband of Jean Moore. Brother of Claudette Alcendor, Hilary Moore, Blaize Jones, Anicet, Garry, Robert, Andrea and Annie-Lorain Moore. Stepfather of David, Victor and Shawn Elliott, Marlene Stuart and Betty Callender. Step-Grandfather of Tanishia and Dondre Stuart and many others. Friend of the Elliott and Stewart families and others. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home Belmont Road, St. Michael on Thursday, 16th February, 2023 for St. Ambrose Church, Bridgetown, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00pm for a service of thanks giving. The cortege will then proceed to the Westbury Cemetery for the interment. No mourning colors by special request. Flowers may be sent to Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael not later than 12:00pm on Thursday.

GITTENS – On January 31st 2023. JONATHAN ERIC of Clermont Gardens, St. Michael. Son of David and Genevieve Gittens. Father of Kimberley and Scott Gittens. Brother of Andrew (Rosemary) and Suzanne (Alan). Life partner of Mamta Mistry. Uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of many. A memorial service for the life of Jonathan Gittens takes place on Wednesday, 8th February, 2023 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3pm. No mourning colours by special request. Donations in Jonathan’s name to Variety the Children’s Charity of Barbados will be greatly appreciated. COOMBES – On 2nd February, 2023. CHARLES LAMBERT of “Point View” Worthing, Christ Church. Son of the late Lawrence Browne, Stella and Kenneth Coombes. Loving husband of Marcia Coombes. Devoted father of Shaun (Sophia) and Tyler Coombes. Grandfather of Zane Coombes. Brother of David (Cindy) Coombes, Rosemary (Paul) Inniss and the late Lawrence (Eve) Browne. Uncle of Nicholas, Giovanni, Michael, Joanna, Samantha, Luke, William, Amanda, Victoria, Tanya, Natalie, Kevin, Lisa and Shannan. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Friday, 10th February 2023 for St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 am for a service of thanksgiving. A service of celebration for the life of Zachary Ryan Walcott takes place on Thursday, 19th January, 2023 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10.00am. A private cremation will follow.

No Mourning Colours by special request. Zachary’s favorite Colour was blue.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to LOVE COMES FIRST in the support of disabled Kids will be graciously accepted in Zachary’s Honour.

JANICE FIELD

FIELD – On 13th December, 2022. JANICE of Cluffs Plantation, St. Lucy. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados. Born on January 17, 1936, Janice was mother to Linda, Elizabeth and Sonia, grandmother of 11 (Radha, Leah, Samantha, Claire, Orrin, Helena, Oriel, Dax, Kane, Danielle and Lily) and great-grandmother of 6. An active member of her community, Janice is remembered for her love of learning, the arts and her family. Janice goes to join her beloved husband Clyde who predeceased her. A celebration of her life will take place with a memorial service at the James Street Methodist Church, Bridgetown, on Thursday, 12th  January, 2023, at 10am. Janice’s wish was that no morning colours should be worn to her Memorial Service.

PRESCOD – SHERWIN ANDERSON aged 59, of Lower My Lord’s Hill, entered into rest on January 1st, 2023. Retired Cargo Agent of Seawell Air Services. Son of the late Enid Clarke. Step-son of Lionel Clarke. Husband of Ellen Kathy-Ann and father of Shane. Brother of Walter, David, Greta & the late Owen. Uncle of Eric, Angelique, Jaime, Jamila, Otis & Amirah.  Son-in-law of Marcia, Brother-in-law of Ingrid, Earl & Amanda. Friend of many and member of the CP Old Scholars. Relative of the Prescod, Maycock and Goodman families.
