Jolyon John Philip “Rusty”

NATHAN – On 17th April, 2023. JOLYON JOHN PHILIP “Rusty” of Reef View, Crane, St. Philip. Son of Charlotte and Philip Nathan. Brother of Lara Jones. Nephew of Ruth and Michael Atkinson. Cousin of Rachael Atkinson-Woodall, John Atkinson and many others. Rusty was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. JOAN MARGARET THORNTON

THORNTON – JOAN MARGARET (née Bruce), aged 91 years, of Oswestry, U.K. (formerly of Lodge Plantation, St. Michael) entered into rest on April 19th, 2023, in the UK. Loving wife of the late Neville Thornton; Beloved mother of the late Susan Moller, the late Patricia Scoular, Virginia de Silvia, Michael, Richard and Rosie Thornton; Beloved mother-in-law of the late Dorn Moller, Trevor de Silvia, the late Andrew Scoular, Rachel Pilgrim and Kimberley Thornton; Beloved grandmother of Douglas and Karl Moller, Katrina de Silvia (deceased), Rebecca de Silvia Atkinson and Jason de Silvia, Kyle, Matthew and Zoe Thornton, and Gabrielle Thornton; Beloved great grandmother of Logan Thornton, Megan Moller, Eli de Silvia Grimmer, Gabriel Thornton, Kaia Atkinson and Harri Thornton.

JOYCE EILEEN SCOTT

SCOTTJOYCE EILEEN aged 89, of 6B Deacon’s Farm, St. Michael, Retired supervisor, entered into rest on March 24th, 2023. Daughter of the late Mabel Pierce and Arthur Cadogan.  Granddaughter of the late Rebecca Cadogan. Sister of Dale Lowe, Barbara & Marcia Pierce, predeceased by siblings Roy Forde and Hugh, Jean, Beverly & Anthony Pierce.  Cousin of Eddie, Daphne, Marcia, Ann & Velmo Cadogan and many others.  Aunt of many too numerous to mention.  Godmother of Markelle Benn and the late Nigel Cain.  Friend of Pat, Elaine, Peggy, Annie, Dorothy, Marva, Erskine, Yvonne, Roseann, The Corbins, the James Street Methodist Church congregation and many others. Relative of the Pierce, Cadogan, Brathwaite, Hawkins, Brown & Sargeant families. The funeral leaves BRYAN’S FUNERAL HOME Belmont Road, St. Michael on Saturday, 15th April, 2023 for James Street Methodist Church, Bridgetown where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:00am for a service of thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to the Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Viewing of the late Joyce Scott will take place in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel, Bryan’s Funeral Home, Belmont Road, St. Michael on Friday, 14th April, 2023 from 4-6pm. JACK M.A. HOAD “Jackie”

HOAD – On 21st March, 2023. JACK M.A. “Jackie” of Rockley, Christ Church. Beloved husband of Jeanette. Father of Anna Clarke, Jennifer (Wayne) King, Gillian (Hugh) Blades and the late Sharon Christie. Papa of Sara-Jane, Daniel, Jackson, Georgia, Harrison and the late Jenna. Great grand father of Zachary, Eliana, Brynlee and Kyara. The funeral leaves Bryan’s Funeral Home Belmont Road, St. Michael on Tuesday, 28th March, 2023 for St. David’s Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00am for a service of thanksgiving. The cortege will then proceed to the St. George Parish Church for the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Because of Jenna Trust will be greatly appreciated. No Jackets required.

CHRISTOPHER WESTERN

WESTERN – On 17th March 2023. CHRISTOPHER “Kit” of Three Houses Factory Yard, St. Philip. Husband of Sherry Western. Father of Anthony (Vianney), Andrew, Mark (Melanie), Alan and Megan (Gregg). Grandfather of Heidi, Lydia, Sebastian, Liam, Lily, Grayson and Evan. Brother of Bonnie Cole-Wilson and the late David and Larry Western and Sandra Ward. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, 13th April, 2023 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Grove, Six Roads, St. Philip at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Care Ministry of the Parish will be greatly appreciated. Dress respectfully casual.

LORNA MARY CORREIA

CORREIA – on 9th March, 2023. LORNA MARY of “Enterprise House” Enterprise, Christ Church.  Wife of Maurice Correia Sr.  Mother of Karen, Maurice Jr., Marina and Marcelle. Mother-in-law of Bruce, Amanda, Nicholas and the late Gordon. Grandmother of Kaley, Nicholas, Matthew, Oliver, Emma, James and Marcus. Sister of David. Sister-in-law of Maureen, Michael and Isabell.  Aunt and friend to many. Relative of the Correia and Christie families in Guyana, Canada and the UK. Relatives and friends are asked to join us for a service of thanksgiving and interment at St. , George Parish Church at 10:00 am on Thursday 23rd March 2023. No mourning colors by special request.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Animal Ark Welfare Society will be greatly appreciated.
