A service of thanksgiving for the life of Agnes Wilkie-Isaac takes place on Tuesday, 17th March 2026 at The Peoples Cathedral, Bishop’s Court Hill, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:00pm. MARY SMITH

Mary Smith, née Jules, affectionately known to many as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on May 27, 1953, in Castries, Saint Lucia, to the late James and Jane Jules. She peacefully transitioned from this life on February 10th 2026, at 2:10 p.m. in Black Bess, St. Peter, Barbados.

Mary was the beloved wife of Rudolph Franklyn Theodore Smith and a devoted mother to Dave Jackson Jules, Tammy Adeltrude Vamvakas, and Leah Diana Smith. She lovingly embraced her role as stepmother to Nicole Holder and Anthony Rouse. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Kemar Miller, Darion Frederick, Aluko Brathwaite, Anaya Shepherd, and Ava Vamvakas, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She was a loving sister to Adeltrude Baba Jules, Thomasine Bebe Jules, Josephine Headley, Lucille Jules, Roland Jules, Francis Jules, and Hilary Jules. She was predeceased by her siblings Morela Jules, Egbert Jules, and Dennis Jules. Mary was also auntie to twenty-five nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to many others who held a special place in her heart.

A woman of remarkable creativity and strength, Mary expressed her gifts as both a talented fashion designer and a dedicated farmer. Whether designing garments with care or tending to the land she loved, she worked diligently and took pride in everything she did.

Mary was a faithful Christian and committed member of New Dimensions Ministries. A true prayer warrior, she loved God wholeheartedly and lived her faith daily. One of her favorite declarations, “Goodness and Mercy,” reflected her unwavering belief in God’s grace and guidance throughout her life.

Known for her fun-loving spirit, warm smile, and caring heart, Mary touched countless lives. She was hardworking, devoted, loving, and always ready with encouragement, prayer, or kindness for anyone in need. To many, she was more than family,   she was a source of comfort, wisdom, and unwavering love.

Mary Smith’s life was a testament to faith, resilience, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of devotion, compassion, and steadfast faith will live on in all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, 12th March 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at New Dimensions Ministries, Barbarees Hill, St. Michael. A private cremation will take place later. Viewing of the late Mary Smith takes place on Wednesday 11th March 2026 from 4-6pm in the Michael Bryan Memorial Chapel, Bryan’s Funeral Home. No mourning colours by special request.
